Esther Lormil was called to be in ministry since she was a teenager. As a young vocalist she sang in various choirs including the New York State Haitian Interdenominational Mass Choir lead by Dickson Guillaume, Love Fellowship Choir lead by Hezekiah Walker, Voices of Inspiration lead by Cheraky Toussaint, and directed Emmanuel Baptist Church Youth Choir. She was the director and founder of the Leagues Beacon Community Choir which were ranked in 3rd place at the McDonald’s Gospel Competition.
The ministry of Esther Lormil & Friends began in the year 2000. With a few vocalist and band members from the Leagues Beacon Community Choir, the ministry set out on the journey to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ through music. Over the years, God has blessed the ministry with the opportunity to spread the Gospel at numerous churches, concerts, and Christian related events. In 2001 Esther Lormil signed a record deal with the Brooklyn base gospel record label Final Destination Music Group. Esther Lormil and Friends participated in Final Destination Music Group’s First Chapter Tour ministering in several cities in the states of Florida, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Connecticut and New York. In August of 2006, Esther Lormil and Friends partook in FDMG’s Katrina Relief concert, a charity event, that raised money, collected can food, and clothing donations for Katrina victims. Later on that year Esther and friends ministered in concert with Grammy nominated gospel recording group Tye Tribbett and Greater Anointing and was in concert with six-time Grammy Award-winning gospel artist Cece Winans the following year.
In November 2007 Final Destination Music Group recorded Esther and Friends first live album “In Your Presence”. The album is filled with timeless songs that could be enjoyed by audiences of any age. The young people will appreciate up-tempo songs like band driven “Teach Me Your Ways”, while the traditional audience will love the heartfelt soul piercing melodies of the title track “In Your Presence”. But no matter the age what is most appreciated about Esther Lormil and friends are thier effectiveness in relaying the messages of God. The ministry’s humility and obedience has brought them to an unfathomable level or worship. And as they continue in their pursue to accomplish all that God has called them to do, it’s without a doubt their music will have impact on those the group ministers to.
